My window is possessed!

I have an 08 Cooperr S. My passenger side window is acting strangely. When I push the button to raise the window, the window will go up then hit the top (or close to the top) then come back down on its' own and stop at the half way point. The only way I can raise my window all the way up is by hittin the window button multiple times and raising the window in once increments. Any ideas or suggestions?

Reinitialize it.

Hold up for 10 seconds once it stops and then hold down for 10 seconds once it stops.

Actually you may want to verify that with a quick search. It is roughly along those lines though

I've done a variation on that or that sequence after they freeze shut in the winter and need to be reset. Had the half open issue before as well.

I should clarify that I do not have a sunroof so I can't help there

I have had this problem in the past, and I didn't know this was a fix for it.

I just told the Louisville dealer about it, and they fixed it.

Mine has already gone back out again (driver's side both times), and I've been just trying to time it right to stop it at the top.

Time to go try this.

Found some that say hold down for 10 then up for 10.

Others say hold up for 15 then remove the fob.

Others disconnected battery and say it worked.

Some just go to the dealer.

Probably involves standing on your head and patting your belly while whispering sweet nothings to it.

I know I have reset mine myself though by hold up/down or down/up for at least 10 secs each way. 2010 mcs BTW.
