on my 2007 mini, base model, the top bonnet trim on the grill has broken. where can i get a replacement?

Mine broke a couple weeks ago. It was just the clips though and I managed to glue them with a plastic epoxy. I wasn't about to spend $50 on a piece of plastic!

Not to knock ECS Tuning, which offers good prices for these parts, but...

On my 2009 Cooper S for S***, the two chrome trims around both headlights and the long strip along the front of the hood all look just fine but most of the the snaps behind them are broken. I used Gorilla tape to hold them temporarily, but they're coming loose.

I'm going to glue them with Gorilla glue. It's a little easier to use than epoxy. Beats spending $120 for decorative parts that look just fine.

A general observation: apparently, BMW did a lot of upgrading by 2011. I spoke to the owners of a 2011 Countryman with 90k miles on it. It's very reliable, they said. By contrast, my all-plastic 2009 with 51k miles is like a golf cart designed by some BMW engineer's nine-year-old and made in some third-world knockoff factory. This trim breaking is symptomatic of a far wider series of failures with these pieces of junk.

If not for aftermarket resellers like Pelican, ECS, and others I've used for parts at reasonable prices, I'd take it to the finance company and throw them the keys.
