Muffler or resonator delete?

Hey gang, I'm looking for some ideas or advice here. I'm interested in getting a lower more throaty sound from my exhaust. I have 2013 r56S so far its all stock. I've been trying to decide between removing the resonator and moving the muffler into its place then adding longer pipes out the back. This means a new muffler too. Probably a magnaflow or something similar. The other option is a simple muffler delete.

Thanks for looking.

I deleted the resonater and thru a MagnaFlow muffler and it is a perfect sound and didn't break the budget.

Just removing the resonator on the stock system sounded better to me. Then onto a Remus Powersound cat-back. Even better then. Would love to have a Borla, but the current budget prevents that mod right now.

i'll try and get a sound clip , it is a 2.5 inlet 3 inch out $80 one ...i'll see if i can find the part number . when i did the resonator it was raspy , once i added the magnaflow it mellowed out and was a deeper sound

here is what it looks like

I just bought a new double stainless tip and took it to the muffler shop where they removed the muffler and welded in a strait pipe. Not a ton of noise but a decent tone. This was done in 2014. Hope the link works.

Do any of you guys with an r56 with the muffler delete have any drone on the freeway?

^ That's the only reason i haven't pulled the trigger on a resonator delete, have a feeling it's going to drone like hell.

I had my exhaust guy remove my resonator and put a straight pipe in. I didn't notice any drone. That being said, I had him return my resonator to me, so in case there WAS an issue, it could be welded right back in.

I've got resonator + 2nd cat delete, there is a bit of drone around 70+mph. This was manageable and not very loud with the stock muffler, but when I moved up to the fJCW muffler it got significantly louder, so I'll be adding a resonator back in.
