You are welcome, nice find as I believe only 10 Goodwoods went to SA. Post up some more pics from if you can.

Yep, was a stroke of luck, had my eye on a GP 2 which sold before I could blink and then saw the GW come up for sale. Put down a deposit immediately and patiently awaited the car arriving from the Cape Town dealership. Really happy with my purchase as it feels very different to my previous 2007 MCS. Hardly any rattles or squeaks and ride comfort great. Engine also feels peppier than what I recall from my ex MCS...

MINI has ordered me some new side scuttles as the inspired by Goodwood scuttles were riddled with fine hairline looking cracks. Should arrive next week sometime...

Love the Goodwood.

I have 840 cars in my database so far but none from SA. Any chance of getting the last 7 characters of the vin?

Looks like only 10 for SA according to the press release. 1/10 is not bad to turn up on the forums. Hope you get the VIN.

How about a pic of the engine bay? Odd, no hood scoop, but has dual exhaust..

That's how all Goodwoods were made. Justa Cooper Hoods on a Cooper S.

The Scoop has been not functional since the R56 was released it is only a styling thing to set the Cooper and the Cooper S apart. The Hood on the Goodwood was first used on the Cooper D cars which have a turbo in the same location as a Cooper S.

Not quite true. The scoops on the later models are semi-functional and is that they are not totally blocked off, they do allow air to flow through.

I believe that MINI went with the Justa hood because they felt it was more elegant and in line with what Rolls-Royce would do.

They let air flow to stop the Hood Scoops melting which didn't really work.

They may flow a small amount of air but none of it goes where it will benifit performance. They are nothing more than a cosmetic thing to indentify a Cooper S or Cooper SD.

The Intercooler is front mounted and the air intake is nowhere near the scoop.

The Goodwood was 1800klm south of us at the time safe in its Garage. We were on a road trip with the Discovery 4 (LR4 in the US)
