My first paintless Dent Repair

This dent had been bugging me for almost two years. After talked to may body shops, they said the same thing that I need a paint work done. So I finally took a chance by contacting Dent Magic in Ohio. They came over to my work and do it right at the parking lot. Done within an hour and only 20-30% of what I have to pay to bodyshop. More important is it was a paintless repair.

I just wanna share this information and I have no part of this company. I'm just their customer.

From the picture it looks like it worked great. The important thing is that you are happy.

Door dings really bug me.

I've used PDR people a number of times on previous cars I've owned. They can do remarkable things, especially if you have a dent or ding that hasn't damaged the paint.

We took my wife's other car to a local car club event at a PDR shop. Coffee, donuts, socializing, watching the PDR guys work, (theoretically) reduced rates, the whole nine yards. Her car had a series of vertical dents in one rear fender, possibly where a door had opened up into it over and over and over.

They told us it would take some time to deal with. But when we came back, you couldn't see the former dents unless you already knew exactly where to look, and looked with very good lighting. The results were really quite remarkable! It ran us about $400, but that included a couple of other dings as well.

I'm a believer. I know that there are things it can't fix (anything with cracked paint, for instance) but a good PDR man will be able to tell you what can be fixed.

How do they do it? I have a similar one in the rear hatch. I suspect I did it with my hand slamming the hatch to close it. Been thinking about taking a plunger to it and trying to pull it out.

Easiest way to explain it is........ they basically massage the dent out. They shimmy their tools behind the sheet metal and carefully work the dent back out, it's really a type of art form!

I have PDR included with my Mini extended maintenance plan for 5 years. I've used it like 15 times since 2012 lol.

Might as well, no limit and I'm paying for it. Door dings irritate me!

Some years back, a bike shop's popup tent got lifted up by the wind and landed on top of my then 4 month old 2008 MCS. One dent near the left side scuttle and two between the windshield and the sunroof. They were so close to the edge I didn't think it would be possible for the guy to fix.
He had to remove the headliner and drill a small hole in the header but miraculously he got them all out good as new. Charged $550 because of all the extra labor but the bikeshop paid for it.
I've had some other smaller dents removed but this one was truly a work of art from the tech.

Good results. Never took them serious before. Fingers crossed I won't need them, but good to know.

I too hate door dings. I've used my local PDR guy quite a few times on both of my cars. I have always been impressed with the results. Great money saver

I have a dent guy that comes out to your house and fixes dents. He did my wifes HHR, it had 7 dents and dings in it. I was so pissed I wanted to get rid of it. He fixed the dents in about 1 1/2 hours and did some paint touch up on 3 of them. It came out perfect, can't tell And it only cost me $140.00. I tried to give him more but he refused it. If any body local wants his phone #, pm me.

I watched them repair hail damage at a dealership several years ago.It is amazing to see.Stuff that I would have bet was trash came out perfect.

I had my tailgate fixed last year.Had a shallow dent the size of a volleyball.I can paint and dent repair but it cost me 100 bucs and was well worth it to me.It was nice too.I drove in and got an estimate and then took the tailgate off and ran some errands. He called when it was done about 2 hrs latter and put it on and drove off.Cant get easier than that.lol!
