Bulb warning light on

I have an exterior bulb warning light on, but all exterior lights are working except that the headlights will not turn off. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ric

Do you mean your headlights are on when the key is removed or are they set to the DRL mode?

The headlights come on when I turn the key on. The switch will not turn them to off.

That is correct if the car is set to be in DRL mode. Your owner's manual will tell you how to change that if you want.

You were correct, I had set the DRL to on a couple of weeks ago. I had satellite installed yesterday and noticed the lights were on and I could not turn them off.
Thanks

I have the same problem. My warning light says a fog light is out. I replaced both lights even though they both worked, mostly to verify good contact.
I took it to the dealer just before my warranty expired. The odometer read 49960 so I wanted the problem documented. I was told I had to leave the car right then. Once the odometer read 50,001 they would not touch it under warranty. I couldn't do without my vehicle right then, so the warranty expired.
I had an independent shop look at the faulty warning light and they said it would be expensive or really expensive to repair depending on how long it took to chase down a bad connection, or replace an ECM. So now I just live with a faulty error light.
I am not at all impressed with BMW's customer service.
I do not think I could buy another BMW or Mini even though I love the car.

Check the lights over the license plate. I had the warning for a bit, then found that those were both burned out.

Have fun,
Mike

what's weird is I have one of the two license plate bulbs burned out, but get no warning. Those warning lights can be a little wonky.

Sad that a dealer wouldn't step up for you. I would call Mini NA and complain. They might be able to help you out.

Your dealer is full of s***! Once you notify them of a problem they have to fix it under warranty even if the mileage subsequently goes past the warranty limit.

OP: You may have a bulb failing intermittently. It happened with my better-half's Justa. One of the parking lights eventually quit for good. I replaced it, and the bulb warning went away. Just keep checking all the lights periodically.

I read about a marker light that someone had burnt out and it took them a bit to figure that out as they didn't pay attn to those really. Check them maybe?

I had license lights out recently and my car spent two days at the dealer as the "reprogrammed" it. Lights work now. I had no bulb out indicator when one bulb was burned out. When bulb out indicator came on I found both new bulbs wouldn't work. The reprogramming made the same bulbs work. Very confusing........I miss fuses and two wire systems.

I agree with twrxxa above in regards his comments on warranty coverage noted prior to expiration.
