New 2013 MCS - Different Antenna thread size?

Just traded in our 2005 MCS on a 2013.

Kept the S2000 stubby antenna off of the 2005, but the treads on the 2013 are too big...like the antenna is M4 and the base is M6.

I want to add a stubby antenna to the new car, but I am concerned that all of the vendors list them as 2007+.

Can anyone shed some light on this one?

Thanks!

Jac

I bought a stubby for my 2013 without any problems (direct replacement) that was listed as 2007+.

Cut the tip off a small zip-tie. Put the tip in the antenna base on your car. Carefully screw in the stubble. The plastic zip-tie will fill in the difference between the smaller thread and the larger hole, and it's 100% reversible.

Yes all the 2007+ MINIs have larger threads than the 2006 and earlier cars.

Check out our WMW short antenna it comes with both size threads to fit any MINI
