R56 34 actual mpg
I know this is a topic with many factors contributing to your MPG but I don't understand how people who drive hard still manage 30 MPGs where I'm only squeaking out 22-24 (just over 300mi per tank roughly) with the sport button off (98% of the time) for the last few fill-ups to see if I could get high 20's atleast. I'm due for an oil change soon at the dealer, is the low MPG's worth mentioning as in will they really do anything diagnosis wise? If it matters I have a 2010 Cooper S Manual with stock tires at 38psi and 13k miles.
You've gone 13K miles without an oil change??? There is your problem. I bet you'll be getting close to 30mpg once you get that burnt oil out. MINI recommends 10K oil changes, but that's crazy. I do every 6K.
I bought it used with 10k on it and the dealer did an oil change before I picked it up, sorry for the confusion lol. I'm planning on paying for oil changes at 5k then having the dealer do the free one at 10k under the maintenance plan.
I'll play:
2007 MCS, probably needs a carbon cleaning and new air filter. Just changed oil today, second change in last 5k miles (first time, napa gave me wrong filter, so changed after 2k miles with new filter).
I drive in city, very little highway and when it is highway, its usually 70-80mph.
According to aCar (my fuel and records app), I'm averaging 27.10 in last 3 months. This is actually better than I thought considering I was below 25mpg first month before changing oil. I'm guessing I could hit 30 if I was more conservative, but i didn't buy this car to drive that way. I drive all the time in sport mode and I don't redline it, but do push the gas hard, shift between 3k and 5k depending on traffic around me.

Recently moved to downtown Los Angeles. My commute before the move would net me around 32/33 mpg.
Since moving to the city that has dropped to 26. Stop and go certainly takes it's toll on overall mpg's.

2013 roadster MCS and I get 34 plus. I have a real heavy rt foot. But if I'm lazy and don't want to stop for gas on my way home. I can really stretch out my mileage by coasting. My daily trip is 140 miles. If only two candy corns left I can just coast all the way home. I just feather the pedal and can get 60 miles on just one candy corn.
To make it easier to get a quick look at the Big Picture, I've summarized the MINI MPG numbers reported in this thread. Beware -- the data is anecdotal, and some numbers are from a single tank.
