Evolve stage 6 thoughts

I've had some savings set aside for my MINI r56 and come around march ill have around 3k saved just for mods to put into my MINI. I have a back up 3k at all times For maintenance, or any issues. Other than regular wear and tear on some items the car is perfectly fine and under warranty for another 26k miles. Clutch and flywheel ill do half and half out of the car back up fund and savings fund, so I've been looking around and I'm interested in the evolve kit stage 6. I'm fairly new to the scene and from what I've read here evolve seems to have good customer service and about the only reliable tune for the r56. I like the exhaust note as well so the bundle seems good to me.

Can you put a link to where you got your information? Unless "Stage 6" is a typo, there doesn't appear to be any information available on the web. Probably the reason for a lack of response.

It's the UK site I guess I hadn't really looked to find both sites Lol. I would just purchase the same set up from us http://www.evolveautomotive.com/tuni...6-260-bhp_912/

What year is your car? That's going to play a major role in whether this is applicable to you or not. If you have a car 2011 or newer with the N18 engine, then you won't be able to take advantage of the tune they offer. There are no tunes currently that allow flashing over the OBDII port, and you would have to send the ECU to them (if they even offer that) to crack open and flash. That will void your warranty.

Also, Euro and US spec cars are slightly different, so they may not even have a tune for US spec cars to get the same gains, provided you can even use it.

It's 07 n14, warranty would be yes but I have a few trips ahead of me and ill be only a few k miles out of the warranty expiring and it wasn't an expensive plan. From what I was reading on there it seems they are working on a tune available everywhere, it said coming soon. I'm just trying to find good quality service and performance for a good dollar as well, I read and read on here seems evolve was good option so should I just go through them us and make a trip to tune?

Seems like a typical stage 3 to me.

FMIC, Full exhaust, tune.

The tune is where it always comes to a problem when I'm looking. As I'm in Iowa the only local shop who claims they can tune my MINI has very poor rep and no previous experience with MINIs

Agreed, just their terminology for the parts kit.

I will have essentially this setup on my car in the next few weeks except that it is a JCW and I will not be changing the exhaust. I bought the group buy downpipe, plus an upgraded map, both of which are on the way.

Hopefully the downpipe will not be an issue like it was with another list member.

I saw that.

This should be a nice quiet yet powerful set up.

But you'll still have 1 cat. Correct me if I'm wrong but the stock exhaust has this cat attached to the midpipe right? So it's not easy to delete that...?
