I always loved the look of satin silver brake calipers, those should stop you in your tracks!

Yup! $3k kit, so they're pricier than Brembos, yet EASIER to swap pads than Brembos.

Yup! Stoptech only makes a system for the front.

Hasn't been 2 weeks yet and I'm already looking at a 2nd set of wheels to rock. Any recs you guys want me to look in to?

I won't rock any HRE's because none of their designs available in 4x100 bolt pattern catch my attention. Rotiform's designs are rather bland and CCWs...well I've done CCW's twice so that's outta the picture entirely.

I am leaning towards some Barramundis though...very JDM wheels.

Being that you tracked the ST40 kit, how was the brake balance with the stock rear setup?

It was fine, never really had any issues on the track with the front bias. The rears were slotted Power Slot rotors with stock pads in case you were curious what I was running in the rear. The Trophy kit will essentially be the same kit with the additional fact that they are anodized forged pieces making them stiffer and lighter.

Oh I can't wait!!! (I make it sound like it's for me...lol). I am dying to know how to wire this up. I found one semi-informative write up, but definitely wouldn't hurt to read about someone else's experience.

I know I'll have to make some type of custom bracket to mount it, but I guess we'll see once this expensive toy arrives.

I'm getting the AiM display with my tax return haha! Pista or Strada? I'm curious to see what you come up with for mounting and wiring it. They are supposed to be compatible with Bosch ECUs, but nothing is ever just that easy most of the time.

Judging by the other things that he has bought probably the Pro.

I don't have to buy the PRO version. I could save the money for other things. Who knows, it's on order and I'll know eventually when it gets here.

Well a minor setback today as I sheered off a stud on my downpipe as it was rattling. And this had me thinking about what to do since the vehicle will be down for a bit as I don't want an exhaust leak.

Well, I think I'm putting off on the BBK update, and I believe with the help of Battle Tuning, I'm going with an uprated turbo. More info soon as I figure things out with them.

That sucks, sorry to hear that! Cars, the never ending money pits, if you want to make that extra horsepower...I haven't heard anything positive about uprated hybrid turbos and engine longevity, sounds like a tuning and internal rebuilding nightmare! Are you thinking a JCW turbo? This will still involve some internal workings..slippery slope, but then again, that's your middle name! Keep us posted, always interested in what you got going on with the Camden.....your ride is sick and enjoyed the pull from the DNA tune, thanks for allowing me to test it out. Looking forward to the results I will get on the JCW..

Thanks! Most likely billet turbo with possible port and polish on turbo and exhaust mani, but we'll see. The bottom end is something in question that I've considered, but have been pushing the project for somewhere down the line this year.

Working late doesn't really allow me to mess with the MINI as much as my focus is demanded on other things, but like I said, we'll see.

I wanted to spiffy it up for Bimmerfest this year, but looks like I'll go more performance oriented so I won't be very showy, just more go-y. lol.

If you don't mind me asking since you were so happy with your DNA tune why all of a sudden you change to another tuning company? Sorry about your stud damage, is this on your stock DP?

Battle Tuning is the official USA distributor and contact for DNA Tuning.

Only DuelL AG product I'd consider nowadays is the gauge faces, but it'd be a total waste since I'm getting the AiM dash anyways

^What he said.

Battle Tuning allows me to access the performance parts w/o the need to deal with international shipping and fees. DNA will always have my support and knowing BT is here for us on NAM, whom markets DNA, why not tap into his network of performance mods? If he can source me a badass turbo, an AiM dash and anything else I need, why should I look elsewhere?

The stud is stuck in the turbo side when it sheared so right now the iPE downpipe is being held up by 2 of the 3 bolts. The remaining bit will be removed as soon as I get the turbo swapped.

While I'm there, I'll replace my turbo oil feel line as preventive maintenance even though it has not shown any signs of leaking.

Damn, got some awesome news today, so now I have no clue which to do now!!!

First, I may end up cancelling my preorder on my AiM dash because of the new turbo I'm possibly ordering soon.

NOW, I just got word that I'm getting a new sponsor, so I really can't turn down the offer for this particular item...!!!! Maybe that'll help me get an elusive tire sponsor this year...lol

Alright, another update. Turbo is being port/polished and coated. Then gotta send out new exhaust manifold to be port/polished and coated. Stoptech Trophy Kit currently on order and trying to get here by end of the week or early next week. THEN, AiM Dash arriving late March.

Oh and Ignition Projects Plasma Coils looking to be ready by end of the month.

That's something over $6k easily with Stage3/4 tune from Battle/DNA after all this madness.

Then, still would need new turbo oil line feed installed, and walnut shell blasting as preventative maintenance (might as well) since I'm at 64k miles.

Hope you guys are as excited as I am!
