Error Codes

My 2007 base Mini's check engine light ha been coming on and then going of then coming back on. I checked the codes today and am getting:

P0014 Exhaust Camshaft Position Timing - Over-Advanced (Bank 1)
P0015 Exhaust Camshaft Position Timing - Over-Retarded (Bank 1)

Is it possible for the timing to be both over andvanced and over retarded or is one occurring then the other and still showing up in the code list?

This could be as simple as changing the cam position sensor. IMO that is why you are getting both codes.

Thanks for the info. I just tried cleaning both sensors. If that doesn't help I will be buying some. I also cleaned an oiled my Air filter, changed the oil, cleaned the MAF and did a Sea Foam treatment. Hopefully this will help.

i got p0015 on mine after getting a tank of cheap/offbrand (still 91 oc ) Gas. cleared the code, put some techron cleaner in the next tank and been fine since. Hopefully what you're doing solves it.
