Plasti dip and vinyl wrap

About to start my plasti dip adventures on the trim tonight along with doing the vinyl tape around the belt line trim. Is there any tips on the vinyl tape? I've done plasti dip before but have never used the vinyl tape. Got the tape from wmw

I tried the beltline trim a few weeks back. I peeled it off because it looked way too much like a sticker rather than a vinyl that should be there.

Or maybe it was my technique. I just lined up the vinyl with the very top edge of the chrome, kept a light tension on the tape, and squeezed out bubbles as i went along.

Ok so just started to take off the trim pieces to start plasti dipping. Started with the side scuttles. I have them off and wanted to ask before I tried and broke something. How do you actually take out the silver trim from the rest of it?

Cant speak for R56, but the beltline on my R53 was pretty easy. Line up the tape with the top of the chrome, and work in 8 inch pieces.

Won't you see the lines from the pieces if you work in 8 inches Or does it just blend in?

You're misunderstanding me. Sorry about that. Only remove the backing 6-8 inches at a time. Apply that area, peel back the next section, apply, repeat as necessary.

Just be slow and steady, and it'll come out great. Good luck!
