Are you adding a rollbar?

They really are great looking. You can order them on a JCW but they do not come with red stitching, not a bad option either.

I want to. That Autopower RB is calling my name. It was a no brainer on my Porsche because the rear seats are 100% useless but I keep thinking with the MINI the "what if" I need the rear seats at some point?

How do you like that brace in the rear of your GP? I was trying to get info on it but none of the sponsors have said anything about it yet.

It does nothing, I take it out so my dog can take road trips with me

Nice pic (and dog)! Yeah that's the other thing... I have a Clubman for my two Bullies but it would be nice to have that flexibility to use the R56. So that brace makes no difference? I was hoping MINI used a heavy duty bracket bolted up to the chassis to actually make it stiffer.

It's heavy, but I notice no difference with on or off. I'm actually driving it now because I got lazy taking it on & off

Finally installed the GP2 brake ducts, had them for weeks but didn't have time to put them on. I also got pulled over for not putting on the New York State front license plate. No ticket but I have had to put the terrible looking yellow plate on the front for now. I already ordered a custom vanity plate... it couldn't get here soon enough. A peek.

all I have to say is your car looks amazing. I love the "real" RSs, I love MINIs, so a RS inspired MINI is right up my alley. Bravo. I'm now looking at those tails as well (I hate the chrome rings on my 2011 R56). What's the pre-LCI/post-LCI bit mean? Any idea if they'd be plug and play for me as well? I know I have backup lights in the lower bumper if that has anything to do with it, but I don't mind them in the tails as well (either working or not).

Jacbosen thanks a lot man .

I don't have an LCI (yours with chrome ring tail light is). To adapt LCI tails to an pre-LCI there a few different ways. I've never seen someone put pre-LCI tails on an LCI. BMW has also done the same with the LCI update. I installed pre-LCI tails on an LCI E92 M3 to see if it would work and it did with no issues. But the pre-LCI E92 M3 with LCI tails needed coding. I'm not sure if its the same situation on MINIs, but if it is then in your case you just need the new tail lights, which are DEPO LED tails. I recall reading the OutMotoring who also sells these DEPO LED tails mentioned that someone with an LCI was able to successfully wire these up but a few wires had to be swapped from locations. I couldn't give you a honest answer. Remember that the OEM LCI tails do not have reverse lights built into them. But I have a few friends who have done custom electrical wiring and for them making changes are pretty simple. I on the other hand can't do any of that kind of stuff.

If you have any friends with a pre-LCI MINI it would be nice to see if you swap one tail light on each and see the effects (hell he may even want to buy yours if you are able to get DEPO LED tails).

The DEPO LED tails have a small resistor box in the wiring that signals the LEDs inside to register as a standard light bulb. So for my pre-LCI these taillights are truly plug-and-play.

Beautiful MINI! Lots of great details.

I'm glad someone else asked about the steering wheel... looks like the Redline covers (which I'm kinda drooling over).

Got the new plate

Some dummy newbie driver blasted Koopa in the back... more scrambled eggs now. Gonna get her fixed up soon, luckily just cosmetic low-speed at a street light.

Got the rear bumper fixed. Also went ahead and had the headlights sanded, cleared, and polished. They look brand new. I've done this on a few cars now with headlight pitting, has worked nicely so far.

The aftermarket LED fogs will get installed tomorrow. Debating on whether putting on the OEM Roof Rack or not, its just sitting there.

What are you running in your engine/exhaust??, suspension??

And the seats, wich one do you decide to put in?

Cheers from Mexico!
