Mirror Caps

Hey guys, I'm a relatively new mini owner, and I got my car used, and I'm not too crazy about the color, especially my rear view mirrors being white. Would you guys recommend that I get the Mirror Caps? I saw the prices and I'm not quite sure if I should buy a pair for my car. Thank you in advance for responding

Vinyl wrap works, lots of options and maybe a better/cheaper option if you're unsure.

Was considering painting mine checkerboard... but wondering where you all are getting the vinyl wrap stuff to home-made it... Where you get that? Anyone got pictures? I also HATE my white mirror caps. Not nearly spicy enough for me!

What do you like? For factory options there are a bunch?

For the R56 Models you can get the factory interior review mirror the match the outside caps.

Example:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2007-Cooper-R56-S-Coupe-L4_1.6L_N14B16A/Exterior/Mirrors/Cover/

Two options : Cars with and without power fold in mirrors. Need the left and right mirror caps.

For the interior center mirror caps:

Its dependent on the auto or manual dip.

Hope this gives you a better idea is you go the factory option route.

Good luck.

Does ECS have Mirror Caps in Chili Red? Or is my best bet buying the primer option and getting them painted myself?

Primed - for the exterior Mirror caps. There is no pre-painted caps other then the new Ray Line Fluorescent colors which is Orange, Yellow, Pink, Green and Blue. Then the traditional: Union Jack, Black Jack , Carbon fiber, and Checkered. . Otherwise you could do union jack to match Chili Red.

Union Jack example:

Thanks and let me know what you like.

#7 in the picture - That is the " Kilburn " design.

Its more of a modern design from MINI , just remember to get the correct ones corresponding if you have power fold in mirrors or not. Easy way to find out is to spin the window adjustment **** all the way to the left or right and see if the mirror fold back when you have the car on and at a stand still.

Thanks

JCW Carbon Fiber Caps

I replaced my white mirror caps with JCW Carbon Fiber as well as the JCW hood scoop. I own a body shop and to paint a pair to match your body color would be about $100.00, so you may find a cheaper option. Vinyl wraps look cool but wont last forever. Painting is better, but bug and chips will affect them as well. I just did the easier but costly carbon fiber option.
