Help please, my car hates me.
Hey everyone,
I have A Cooper S Hatch Manual 2007 (obviously lol), and unfortunately it's more in the shop then I actually get to drive it. My current problem:
TWO days after installing a new starter now my little lemon decides to start, but to die right after, I don't even get to go forward, she just dies.
Check engine light is on above the radio and also on the display in front of the driver. (Orange, half filled).
She had a similar problem last year where she would start and die but be drivable if I just kept the rpm's around 1500 while standing - that turned out to be the throttle body, but it seems different now, since I don't even get the change to hold her on 1500 rpms before she dies.
Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I'm going crazy, and also kinda running out of money.
I appreciate the help guys. Thank you in advance.

I live in Florida so cold temperatures are not the issue.
And, the front check engine light came on a day before the one above the radio did. the next day the car showed above problem after sitting for about 18h.

Sounds like high pressure fuel pump, but you can't tell without the proper tools to diagnose. This discussion will just turn into a page with 50+ opinions. Time to go to the dealer again.
Yes, these cars are a little expensive to maintain.

I would like to know myself. I would be interested in gathering more south florida people together that like minis for cruises and meet and greets.
