First MIL

I was hoping to be trouble and problem free but my 2012 MCS with less than 8K miles just threw a code. I read it with my scanner tool I had and it read out P0301 - cylinder 1 misfire. It's now at the dealer and I am driving a loaner. I'm bummed that I don't have my car with me already :(

Also, not sure if this is related somehow but I noticed that the idle would drop suddenly when the engine would not be fully warmed up. You can feel it in the car when then idle drops and bounces back up. The idle drop does not occur after the car is warm. Any ideas?

So just an update, plug and injector has been changed but cold start issue still exists. Diagnosis still not concluded yet as root cause. :(

So, still no mini today. No other parts were changed except plug and injector. SA commented that car was rough on cold start yesterday but is better today (but its also warmer) and they are holding onto it for one more day to continue to test on cold start and drive it around. I'm told that the car appears to be behaving normally and specifically told that the system needs to relearn and adapt to the component changes...

Picked up my baby today!

Paperwork states all 4 spark plugs replaced, all 4 injectors replaced, profile gasket. Compression test and leaked down test and checked high pressure pump and checked out ok.

I hope this will be it for awhile! Happy to be motoring again !!!!!

So, I've since put another 4000 miles and no CEL! However, I still have what I consider an abnormal idle dip issue. When I first start car on a cold start the RPMs start off high and then slowly come down to "normal" idle range and I start off driving. Within the first 10 mins of driving, for example, coming to a stop sign or stop light the idle will "dip or drop" as if it were about to stall...but it hasn't stalled. It will do this on random days but not every day. I have not noticed it after that first 10 mins of driving so I believe it's related to initial start up. Idle remains stable after completely driven beyond 10 mins. Car has 12k miles now. Only pump premium. Any ideas what to check? Thanks
