R56 Codes P1338, P0011, P0014 after multiple resets.
#26
Hello Braminator,
The answer is “NO” I still have the same issues. I replaced the VANOS solenoids and no real change. The codes alternate from P115d and then P0011/P0014/P1338 may be less frequent. I did a smoke check for leaks and found none, but I still suspect that the valve cover with the built in PVC valve may still be an issue. I changed the oil again, very clean now. I have been driving it daily and frequently cycle the ignition to bring back full power after going in to a reduced power mode, because of VANOS shut down. Do you have any suggestion on where to go from here?
Thanks,

Recently replaced the following
1)water pump, belt , tensioner - 8 months ago
2)both solenoid valves and actuator (6 months ago - so it shouldn't be an issue
3) spark plugs and 1 ignition coil (was getting a missfire from cylinder 2)
4) the car had no check engine and ran smoothly. Car got rearended by a bus when parked. The damage was not extreme (read bumper, quarter, wheel and some suspension parts)
Ever since i got the car from the garage the P0014 code is there. After reset, the CEl stays off if i drive in the coty, as soon as i hit the highway and pass 120km/h the CEL comes back on with code P0014.
I replaced both cam sensors and still getting the same error.
Also, once CEL turns on it feels like car lacks power on low rpms. However when i reset the light and light is off car seems fine.
Looks like i have a problem similar to yours. Did you end up resolving your issue?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
