Bonnet stripes on your boot? Pics please
I think I've decided on getting the stock black bonnet stripes and remember seeing a few pictures around of members who have them also on their boot.
Anyone have pictures on a 2nd gen? Also, did you have your dealer "install" them or a vinyl shop? Thanks

I followed the instructions on the above link and had no problems, really good pictures. I put them on wet BTW. Dry method seems more suited to the very experienced. I got my stripes, replacement bonnet and new boot, from Aesthetic Creations before he was badgered out of business but there are other sources for good vinyl elsewhere. Just glad I got the laminated ones this time so they'll last a lot longer from high speed buggie skid marks

Here is my Winnie at MINI Takes the States, with the magnetic MTTS shield on her bonnet that they gave her for being cool (but we don't leave it on):
Here she is at an SCMM event, at a private auto museum/collection up near Solvang, CA. I wish that her boot stripes went all the way down her bumper, and when I go to do them again, that is what they will do:

It's funny.... on the bonnet, I love the stripes that are wide apart, the 'classic' Mini stripes. On the boot, I love the Viper style stripes. Next graphic I get, will be tying the whole car together. It will go from the lower front bumper, up and over the hood, flow down the sides, whip and snap toward the back, then up and over the tail lights, ending on the lower back bumper. A very ambitious project, we'll see if I can pull it off. Instead of thinking of the car as separate sections... bonnet, sides, boot... I am trying to think of it as a gestalt... a three dimensional whole.
Since I am not going down the performance mod/suspension/exhaust sound road, that leaves more in the budget for the graphics/interior embellishment/sound system mods.
MINI--- there's enough quirkiness and individuality for everyone!

thanks Joanie - love yours too! I'd love to see that idea of yours put into action - sounds very impressive! I like the idea of tying it all together, like when people have the full Union Jack roof like yours and have a red/white viper stripe on the bonnet/boot that looks like an extension of the flag.

stripes
Hello all
I am new here and have been reading as much as can with what little time I have currently. Figured it was time for me to post something. I have a green 03 S and will stay stripeless myself. Not that I don't think they look nice, just not for me.
Sad part is, I have had mine 2 months and already having to throw money at it and don't have much to throw..... . But on a good note, I very much enjoy driving the little machine!!
I hope to get enough time to keep up a bit more and post some here and there. Happy Easter, everyone.
