2013 Mini GP Order Sheet + Catalogue !

Hello there,

I just returned from my dealer here in the UAE, and was given the following order sheet. My car will be produced in November for December delivery.

Excuse the poor quality pictures which I had to snap quickly.

Please enjoy the spec sheet of the car and the available options.

Finally, some information about the Mini GP

Am sorry to start a new thread with the Mini GP, but think that this is some significant news :-)

Just added the catalogue scan! Check them a couple of posts down

Best Regards,
Shihab

Sweet! That confirms most of what we already knew, but a few new items too.

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this!

You know what strikes me as odd? The weight is listed as the same as a standard JCW. So 10 more HP and no back seats, special wheels, CF rear spoiler and all the extra work they did equates to .2 seconds in 0-100 km/h? All I've read indicates that they did loads of work to lighten it so where did all that weight come from that brings it back up to standard JCW weight?

I picked up on another small oddity, no rear wiper. Keep in mind this is from a UAE dealer, the US version could have some slight variations.

How much was it, if I may ask? I know I'll have to convert currency but I'm curious. There is a lot of speculation here in the states about pricing, especially after getting a better sense for what it's likely to have or not. I heard the first GP did not have a rear wiper in order to save weight.

With all the stuff they took off, where is all the extra weight coming from that brings it up to the same weight as the standard JCW?

Looks sweet. If only I wouldn't have to sell both of my Minis, and take out a loan to afford one...

the weight thing is odd to me, i noticed that as well.
where did all the extra weight come from?? ..is the GP a 2 seater? -has that been confirmed?? It does not make any mention of "rear seat delete" on the order forms.

(maybe I am just being hopeful, ...if it is a 4 seater I am all over it ...w/ my 2 sons having 4 seats removes a HUGE arguement as to who gets to come w/ me and who would have to stay home)!

I'm really curious to see how they added negative camber up front & if it's adjustable...

Shihab

Thanks for posting the GP booklet and specs. I also saw your informative posts on MF. I, for one, look forward to seeing the GP II.

Took my 2011 JCW in for service yesterday and got a couple of tidbits of info about my upcoming GP2 order (although maybe nothing really unexpected.)
The store manager said he expects my allocation in November, which would have it delivered in January/February which is what he already thought. He says he hasn't received an official order sheet for it yet so he can't confirm if "regular options" will be available as in the UAE brochure. He also said from a recent dealer's meeting that he "thinks" MINIUSA is planning on all dealers getting them at about the same time although from past experience this never works out exactly as planned.
He seems pretty excited about the car himself. Even though he's been at the MINI store since it opened in the summer of 2010, most of his background was with other brands in the dealer group, and he thinks the idea of a truly limited edition is cool. I told him I estimate the price to be around $36-38K and he thinks that will be a good guess too.

Oh man, looks like we might be able to source a factory "rear seat delete" kit.

While the horse and torque dont change all that much I noticed the lap time of the Nurburgring and its 12 seconds quicker, the car really shines in the twists, I dig it.

Almost seems like a rip off, I mean if you look at the camber settings compared to the JCW, of course one can get better lap times on a track with that set up. Also check out the tires, they use non-run flats for the GP while the JCW still uses RF's. They even run slightly wider wheels and tires.
......even MINI knows the run-flats are garbage.
IMHO, the 2006 GP is still the better.

Again folks just my opinion, not trying to start a war here lol.
