Like the title says. I am dying to get a MINI. Test drove a 2011 MCS and 100% loved it.

I am bummed that there is no access port or tunes available for the 2011 model. That leaves me with the 07-10 models. I test drove an 09 the other day and it just didn't get me as excited as the 11.

Anybody live in Southern California have a 07-10 with a tune or access port that would be willing to give me a ride in there car so I can see how it performs compared to stock?

 

The '09 was probably clogged with carbon buildup LOL! It'll happen to the '11 too, just a matter of time.

 

The 09 only had 30k on it

Where in the SGV are you? I'm over in El Monte and always at my friend's shop over on Peck Rd. I don't go out to Alhambra area as much if that's where you are.

Are you with SCMM? I would love to set up a meet with non-members, but seems like if you're not in a club, it's harder to get peeps together.

Don't know who you're gonna get it done by, but my friend's shop, LTBMW, has been doing it for the BMW community and has done mine. He's been trying to reach out to the MINI community for the service, but seems like no one is interested in it. Let me know if you need to get it done.

 

Jan told me he does the service for an okay price. I might be interested in having your friend's shop do it but, since he hasn't done MINI he needs to do it for a cheap price.

 

Um no he doesn't have to do it at a cheap price. Ive posted pictures of the walnut shell blasting he did on my car and he knows what he's doing. I dont know what Jans price is but I'm sure my friend can do it better than Jan. my friend has been doing this service for a long time now so I trust his work and go to him for all my services.

I'm in the SFV but don't mind driving out to SGV. Some peeps may be down to go to a meet. I've been out of touch lately with the MINI community. Lemme know if you decide to set one up. Plus I wanna see your MINI too.

Would definitely like to meet local members, that would be cool. Doesn't have to be some elaborate meet, but it'd be nice to finally meet some other locals.
