18 x 8 and no poke?

So as most of you know I recently purchased an 07' S.. The car already had Motegi Sp10 18" wheels.

I'm looking into buying new wheels after my coilovers arrive, and don't know what size to go! By the looks of it, the 18'' sp10 only come in an 8'' width. The ones on my car seem 8 inches wide, but don't poke at all! Have 225 40 tires on them, very wide in comparison to my old cooper at 185/55.

Do most 17/18 inch wheels with width 8/8.25 have no poke on the r56??

Well....the diameter of the wheel makes zero difference in poke if offset and width are the same. Are the wheels on the car factory? Pull them off if not and look at the specs. I'd say +40et.

Sell them and buy some lightweight 16"s, huge wheels look goofy on a MINI
