Car Dock

Anyone know of a non-intrusive car dock for phone for the MINI?

I use my phone for GPS and Pandora all the time and am getting annoyed with having to keep it constantly in the cup holder. It'd be much easier to just dock it and move on with my life.

Any help is appreciated.

I realllllly like my craven speed scissor mount, with an iPhone in the case (thats why I got the scissor and not the fitted iPhone attachment). It is not cheap but based on what I have used before it is worth the money. There is no vibration to the phone at all, and flexibility allows me to position it where I want it depending on driving I am doing.

It mounts off the back of the tach so it has a good line of sight.

Not sure if it fits "non-intrusive", but it does make the phone seem like it belongs there.

Hope that helps..

I've used a Mountek CD Slot Mount for a while and really like it. ($20) It blocks the CD slot, but I can count the times I've wanted to play a CD on one hand.

Those both look great. Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm sure you both can attest to the annoyance of finding a spot to put the phone while it charges and such.

Hope on over to the NAV and AUDIO section and you will find a bunch of threads on this exact subject. There are also some over in the MODS>Interior/Exterior section as well.

I personally use the OEM Motorola mount modified to attach to a Craven Speed Mount that goes on the back of the tach.

The ProClip actually looks pretty good. I did a search though for my phone and it doesn't have a holder for it so, I'm out of luck there.

Edit: Actually I did a Google Search on it and they do have one for the phone. It's a bit pricey but, does look like it's put together well. I may purchase the Mountek for about $20 until I do decide to upgrade my phone, which may be in the near future.

Nice dock if you are not using if for navigation as the OP wants to. It is to far down and you have to take your eyes off the road way to far to use that for navigation.

Yeah I purposely didn't want a mount for the cup holder for different reasons, using navigation being one of them.

I usually drive so, when my girlfriend is in the car, there isn't much room for her drink if we go some where. :p

I ended up ordering the Mountek MT-5000. I'm just waiting to get it in the mail.
