Another Scangauge mount thread....

I know there are threads out there on mounting solutions for a scangauge, but I haven't seen anything yet that works for me. The cravenspeed mount would be nice but I refuse to pay $100 to mount a $150 device. The problem I have is that I already have a Prosport/Alta boost gauge on the left of the tack and I want to mount the SG2 around the tach somewhere. I have a friend who is a metal worker and I am confident that he could get some scrap metal and bend up some kind of mount but it may be a few months before I see him again and I will have the gauge in a few days. Any ideas?

BTW I can't say who exactly but the parts "zone" I work for now keeps the SG2 in stock. Not trying to promote anything here just thought some of you might like to know.

I made my own out of a sheet of black plastic. It's a bit rough-and-ready, but it works. The back of the tach is curved, so a flat piece won't sit down across the back of it without bending. The piece of plastic I used is thin enough to bend so it matches reasonably with the back of the tach. I used the three standard screws that hold the tach together to hold the bracket on (actually I had to swap to longer screws) and I used double-stick tape to hold the back of the Scangauge onto the bracket.

I have a thread around here somewhere with pictures and all.
