Buying a 2009 MCS tonight .. help

Im trying to decide on two 2009 MCS that are about the same price. One is Lighting Blue ( Correct me if Im wrong) and the other is Pepper white. They both have the sport package and the black stripe. What color do you guys prefer. Im leaning toward the Blue right now. Plus the Blue has the dual Sunroof ( Any issues with these leaking? )

Thanks

i love the whit myself. i have the duel moon roof in mine and i would probably have rather gone with out it. they dont leak but mine just stopped working my car only has 40,000 miles. they also add a lot of cab noise.

3 weeks ago I purchased a 2009 without a sunroof. In my other vehicle (lexus is300) I think I use the AC more so then the sunroof. I'm glad I made the choice with no sunroof. During the day it is bright inside the car - I think approx 20 to 30 of the sun still comes through the perf sunroof. Really think about it.....

I'm in the process of shopping Mini's myself. My wife really wants either the dual roof or a convertible, so I'm fine with that.

But honestly, with your question, the color choice is purely up to you. Nobody here would be able to tell you which color to get. You have to live with the car every day, what do you want? Personally, I'd go blue, but that's just me. If you like both colors, go with the car that's got a better service history, etc...

I personally like my double sunroof. It is so different and I think it looks cool. I am not sure how it is going to be in the summer, but I will be on my motorcycle most nice days.
I vote for the Blue

Wow thanks for all the fast responses. I know it just boils down to what I want but I like to hear others opinions . Good point about the light coming through all the time I noticed there is no internal fabric cover like in some cars to totally block out the sun

There are some vinyl shades out there that are attached by suction cups-but they have the name of the company in large bold print so you always see it. They should have been more discreet with it.

I have the dual sunroof and about 9K miles on the car. It works fine, but there's some noise with the seals rattling (not sure if that's the right term), but the seals make noise - especially when it's cold out.

I vote Pepper White! It's a really distinctive shade, unlike anything else on the road. I like how it almost "glows" in certain lighting. I do like the sunroof though. Sorry I'm not much help :-)

I don't know if you've owned a convertible, but even the dual-pane sunroof in the Mini doesn't come close. I owned a Miata and really enjoyed the open-air feeling of the convertible - especially when the weather was just right. Or even when the weather was so-so...with the windows up and the heat on it was perfect at times.

Please drive both car to confirm road noise etc. the moon roof tend to have more wind noise as to the hard top is quiet.

Another thing to consider is feel the ride between the sport package vs. the non sport package to see which ride is your preference.

I bought my MCS Clubman last weekend I love it... my first MCS.

Good luck...

Once you get past the sunroof issues (or lack thereof), it all boils down to color choice. Personally, Pepper White's with black bonnet stripes look awesome as hell to me

4 Miatas - current weekend toy is a '90
2 Mustang convertibles
1 Geo Tracker
1 FFR Shelby Cobra replica...with no heater or windows

You're right, convertibles and sunroofs are totally different animals. But we like both. The sunroof still is nice to allow some sun/breeze.

I like the white but where I live the cold weather package is a nice bonus and I'm partial to the sunroof.

I like my dual sun roof and have had no problems with it.

You have to go with your best instinst on color choice. Once you buy it, it's a done deal. Is one car nicer overall than the other? Are they equiv. in price and mileage? Do they feel the same or is one a little more firm or peepy? Things to consider.

BLUE!

You will love the sunroof. I have a '09 MCS (Astro Black Metallic) that I bought a month ago as of yesterday. It came with 6-speed manual, the cold weather package, Premium package, Sport Suspension, Chrome-line exterior trim, door mirror caps in chrome, Color Line Rooster Red interior, Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter, and sunroof. It had a little over 38K miles and was priced at $20,998. I love this car.

I did have to make a few changes though.

I guess I'm backwards, but I sure feel like the car drives better with no sunroof. The sunroof adds a bunch of weight at the very top of the car. I've driven both, and somehow the non-sun-roof car seems tighter.

Mine has a sunroof. I'd remove it if I could.

I have white, best decision ever made white hides anything from dents to scratches and it always looks pretty clean, even slightly dirty.

I like the PW color better but the LB has the cold weather package so it should have butt warmers, which is oh so nice if you live in a somewhat cold climate!!!!!
