how do you open the air box?

Want to change my air filter. Do you just loosen the screws on the front of the box? Are there any other tricks i need to know?

Loosen the screws, disconnect the connector for the air flow sensor, and the hose clamp on the housing, and wiggle it free.

I just loosen the screws and can open it enough to get the old filter out and the new one in.

No need to un-due any connectors, simply remove the torx screws surrounding it. It takes a little finesse to get the back of the box loose but it will come out.

If you haven't gotten it yet, do what Benibiker said.
It lifts up enough to get old out and new in.

I guess the reason I like to remove it completly is because then you can
clean out the dead bugs and other swarf that accumulates in the bottom
of the housing, but thats just me . Good luck.

^^^Good idea. Maybe my 07 is a little different but I was still able to vacuum in there w/o removing anything other than the screws and pulling
the cover out of the way slightly.
I've since changed to a CAI so no issue with vacuuming.
