New 2012 Mini Cooper S - US Flag on Roof?

Hello,
I just placed an order for a 2012 Mini Cooper S . This is my build:
- Midnight Black
- Black headlight housing/Xenons/White turn signals
- JCW Package
- Sport suspension
- Sunroof
- Harman/Kardon
- Bluetooth
- Confort Access

I'm thinking about an American Flag for the roof. So far I have found the 'www.minimotoringgraphics.com' and the 'www.aesthetic-creations.com' options. Is there any other option worth mentioning? Anybody wants to share his/her experience with this (Did it get old quickly? Does it withstand touchless car washes? Do people think it is disrespectful?).

Thanks!

The flag is not to lay flat. That being said my R50 came with one on the roof and it is old enough where I don't can't take it off easily...Not sure if link will work, let me know if it doesn't or does please.

crappy pic but I can't find any of it. It isn't a total cover, it is 1 piece of blue with stars cut out and the red stripes are all independent, the white is the roof.

According to that web site, the president of the united states and every member of congress is disrespecting the flag when they wear a flag lapel pin.
It is a sticker that looks like a flag, not an actual flag.

I had them do the checker graphite wrap on my Clubman. See my gallery.

Thanks, your car looks great! Are you able to wash/wax your car without any concern about the graphics?

FWIW I do get a lot of good compliments about it...actually from more folks not born in or historically not from America. Basically in a PC way, some white people, most comments are from folks that are not white though. Cool to see their pride in their new home country. Not sure how to say that better :/

I saw a 2012 with the US flag up top waiting to be picked up/sold at my dealership yesterday. I fly a flag from the back of my truck with a makeshift pole on the 4th of July.

I like the way that looks with the black on black checkers but I did not see that option on the link you provided. Is it just a bunch of square flat black patches laid out in a checkered formation?

Care of Checker roof

Mine is a 3M product and does not require wax. Attached are instructions on how to take car of the black checkered roof. It was a wrap with that had flat black squares that just fit over the shiney black paint.

The flag etiquette guidelines mentioned above is about actual flags, not decals, lapel pins, etc.
