R56 Strange vibration after changing rear brakes
Strange vibration after changing rear brakes
Hello,
I just changed the rear brakes on my 2008 mini s last night and this morning I took the car to the coffee shop and when I take my foot off of the gas at around 30mph I get a strange vibration from the left rear.
I have changed my brakes on all of my different cars for a long time now. But have never had something like this.
Any ideas on what to check out?

Thanks, I checked but no weights etc on the garage floor. I reset the tires and took it for another quick run and this time I paid better attention.
When I take my foot of the gas and it starts to coast I get a bit of vibration. But when I add just a bit of pressure to the breaks while coasting I really get vibration.
Is there any chance the new rotor is not true?
Thanks,
Charlie

If you feel it in the pedal then the rotor is warped or the surface between the rotor and hub is not clean. Pads do need to be seated, but if while the wheel is off spinning the rotor shows no warping, then it shouldn't be the cause.
It is very hard to trouble shoot with the only info being "vibration".
