So many catch cans!

Hey guys, I'm about to tie the knot on a catch can for preventative measures, but I'm curious as to the differences between a few.

For Way's site:
this is the one for the 'n14'. Do I want this?
http://www.waymotorworks.com/bsh-oil-catch-can-r56.html

why is this more expensive and what are the benefits?
http://www.waymotorworks.com/bsh-n18...-r57-2011.html

Do people run these on mini's?

I'm willing to bet they're all basically the same can, just with different connections. You have a 2009, so you want the first link you posted.

The second one is for the 2011+ cars, where I think they redesigned the PCV setup.

The last one is for a straight 6 BMW 3-series engine.

Should have just bought mine!

that's essentially what i was going to do. I didn't know if there was one with a 'top access' drain but i think the cheaper will be fine

Well the new BSH cans come with a dip stick, which is how I drained mine. Pull the dipstick out, and suck out the oil from the top.

+1111For the BSH catch can and boost tap.
Gotta help the engine with as much crud that I suck out every two weeks. Mostly water condensation but a very little bit of oil. Looks like coffee with milk in it.
BSH has a little dip stick to check and I also use a syringe to suck it out rather than messing with the lower drain plug.
Easy install as well.

to the original op ... if going with a BSH catch can if you want to put it in an alternate location going to need an extra one of these ... http://defendersofspeed.com/store/pr...?id_product=23

What is the best mounting location for the BSH catch can for a 2011-12 R56 MCS? The 12s have a relay under the normal location (on the tab near the rain tray). Do you just mount the can higher?

My friend has it mounted to the top right of the intake (i see this is also how its mounted on Ways website) ... I do not have a catch can but am doing research on them ... just curious myself with the DoS intake if this setup will get in the way of the air flow for the DoS intake ...
