Best Floor Mats for Winter

This will be the first winter for my '09 MINI in Michigan and I am looking for the best front mats that will protect my carpet. I found some Weather Tech extreme mats that have look they cover everything. Does anyone have any experience with these mats? How do they fit?

OEM Winter Rubber Mats

I got a set of OEM winter mats when I bought my MINI. They have survived 7 winters in Minnesota and are still going strong. Many sites sell them-expect to pay about $60 for a set of 2 front. Motor on.

We installed Weathertech mats in my wifes '09 JustaCooper. They really do protect well and do cover averything. I would advise using whatever means are available to secure them to the carpet as directed in the instructions. Even though these are dished on the sides, they can still slide forward under the pedals if not held in place.

+1!! I had a set of WeatherTech mats waiting for Molly 3.5+yrs. ago before she came home, you really need them in the PNW!!

I got the OEM rubber floor mats. I love them. I think I paid around $60 from eBay.

We use Weathertech floor mats in both our cars (MINI and BMW) They fit extremely well and are awesome at collecting dirt/water/leaves/etc. Easy to clean, too.

OEM rubbers by far. They fit and offer a really good amount of protection. Go all the way around with the fron, back and rear ones and you will be good.

Mine came with the OEM rubber mats. How can I prevent them from moving forward?

Just got my OEM ones and the driver side has a Velcro disk, just like the carpet ones. Not so lucky on the pass side. Have disk in floor, but not on mat.

I also like the OEM rubber ones for winter. Then when the weather changes, I switch them out to my LLoyds Berber mats- does a major job on making the interior of the car look nicer in my opinion.

Looks like you can buy directly from Weathertech.

We run WeatherTech mats year-round in our Highlander. They fit and work well.

As for our Mini, I switch to the back rubber, "dimpled" Mini Cooper OEM mats in the winter. They look good (better than the WeatherTechs I think) and fit well with good coverage.

Rats, just checked for velcro disk on carpeting, not there.
Can I just screw some some?
