Tire Pressure Monitor has a mind of its own?

Hello there, 2010 MC. I have a dealer appointment set mid November

Over the last 8 months my Tire pressure monitor which indicates low pressure has gone off 4 times.

First two times, all tires seemed fine, I reset.

3rd time front tire had a leak, fixed it, reset

Fourth time again went off, no issues, I reset.

Lastly this weekend, it happened again. All tires are good, I check pressure religiously.

I have never heard of TPM so sensitive before. Or is mine malfunctioning on a semi regular basis?

I wanted some advice before my dealership says "we can't replicate the issue"

Don't reset it next time, then take it in. Only thing I can think of. You're keeping up to manual's pressure specifications, yes?

Yes I have it to manual pressure specs. It seems to do it randomly, but ONLY when the car sits overnight. It never does it, if I am driving around, stopping, and restarting after errands.

When it happened before last year, I took it in to dealer with my annual oil change and they just reset it and said "well it was probably reading wrong for some reason" with no further explanation.

Thanks for the input.

Weird. It could just be wonky.

I hope "wonky" can be fixed?

Well, if it is faulty sensor, that should easily be covered under your warranty. Of course, they'll have to determine that it's actually faulty, which sounds like it might be complicated.

But, yes, if it is indeed an incorrect error, it should get rectified by your dealer.

I imagine the sensor is faulty or is going completely bad. Problem is given it is doing it once in a while, hard to just determine it is faulty by dealer.

I imagine it will completely fail the day after my warranty is out :( given my luck.

This used to happen to me all the time but I dropped my car off and they just fixed it, I think it was just a computer error.
