Bell Front License Plate Mount

Looking into no-drill plate mounting options... has anyone tried to use Bell's grill-mounted bracket on an MCS? The lower grill on mine seems flimsy, like there might be quite a bit of rattle to it, but then again so does the bumper itself for (da horror!) bumper drilling. Maybe mount upside-down from the upper grill? The upper grill seems much sturdier.

At <$10 the price sure is friendlier than a tow hook mount!

Looks like it would work fine. I do think you may get a few rattles with it attached like that. You might want to put some foam tape or something on the part of the plate that is not bolted down.

I use this from Go Mini Go, and it works really well. I've never had a problem with it... aside from people parking by touch and bending my plate and scratching my bumper, but living in NYC you can't avoid that.

People give me compliments about it all the time... why? No idea.

Exactly. I would get the one IanJenkins said and offsetnawaynfrom the grille. You want that nice breezy air on the intercooler.

This is how I have my license plate mounted:

Then when I get the fix-it ticket, I mount it back on with the Go Mini Go mount, find a cop to sign the ticket, and then take it off again. Rinse & repeat.
