Did my first Auto-X today in Xenia, OH at Kil-Kare Speedway. Was a blast. Makes me hate drag racing lol. The video posted below is only my 54.4 second run. I won with a best of 52.4. Was about 95+ degrees today. Good thing the STI guy let me borrow his water sprayer to spay my intercooler down. I loved the atmosphere and people there, such a blast. Makes me love my Cooper that much more. And I won a pint size cup for that day for first =]

The second turn in the video my back left wheel comes off the ground. Even though I didn't really feel it. I always see pictures of that and I wanted to do that. Idk why but I did.

 

Very Nice. I did my 5th auto cross yesterday and the more you do the more you love it. That is cool that they give you a pint glass trophy. I think one of the best parts of it for me is the fact that our little Mini's kick the Mustangs and the camaros *** out there.

 

Definitely. I was pumped I beat two of the three STIs by a second or two. But one of them beat me by 6 seconds! Man he was good. Thank god he wasn't in my class lol.
And I beat a corvette =p

My class "STX" as taped on the side of my car in the picture. Was 5 people in my class. 2009 2.0T GTI coilovers, sway bars and some other nic nacs. 2004 RX-8 with coilovers, sway bars, full exhaust, and was the 6 speed MT. 2011 2-door V6 Accord (no clue what was done to it) and a 1st gen ScionXB.... LMAO. I would've thought the RX8 would've won. But the GTI and Accord were kicking my butt at the first half of the day. And then I passed them up the second half of the day.

And my wheel offset... No clue. I bought the car with them on... Is there something written on them to tell? Idk lol

 

Btw I have no clue what STX class even is. I told them what I had done and other MINIs in there system were STX so Thats what they stuck me in

 

I would say my car, the GTI and this Honda SI hatch squeeled tires around more than anyone. My tires are junk. My car wouldn't stick for anything

Nope. Nothing else except at 32 seconds in I came into the turn a little hot. Definitely bottomed out that front right strut. Oops =]. Really wish I had my 2 second faster run taped. Grrr. Would love to see it. Must've been a lot better to hop up that much.
