2012 Laguna Green and Highclass Gray

I noticed two unfamiliar (to me) colors were being offered for the 2012 Cooper -- Laguna Green and Highclass Gray per the various autonews websites. Is there any history to them? Has anyone seen them? Opinions? I'm really curious about the Laguna Green. It looks quite garish and very tempting!

Thanks!

laguna green image...found!

Found an image here of what appears to be a laguna green mini. Not sure if the image is genuine or mock-up but it look good. Reminds me of a friends BMW 318 from the 90s he had in laguna green. Anyone else seen a picture of highclass gray yet?

High class grey looks more blue-ish to me compared to the Eclipse Grey.

Yeah it's a blue grey. With some red. It's almost a plum grey.

I was told there are maybe 3 others in CA!

Gentlefury, I like your car, that's not a commonly-ordered spec for a Cooper.

The MINI looks great in Gray. But those new 2012 wheels are just awful. Yuck!

+1 I'd hate to have to try and keep them clean - too many nooks and crannys.

I like the gray. The green is horrid in my eyes.

Love the green...sort of a brighter take on Silk Green.

"Any color as long as it's black": has Henry been here?

There are SO MANY gray, white, and black cars that I get depressed in parking lots, surveying the blandness. When I ordered Molly2, I had been hoping for MINI to offer a brilliant orange non-metallic. It's as if Henry Ford has passed down the "any color as long as it's black" gene to the entire buying public! Oh, well; it's only paint.

black is almost always the optimal option for me. It always works.

I'm partial to bright colors. Probably a good thing I didn't know Laguna was coming, or my Mini would have cost $2K more (price increase+color)
It seems to me a very 60s color: good with white leather gogo boots!

Got to see the Highclass Grey in person last week, and it looks great. One of those paints that looks different in just about every weather condition. Keeps you on your toes sorta hah!

Never saw the green in person but I think it looks awful.. Never liked light green on cars.

I wish Mini would come out with something like Laguna Seca Blue, man that color is sexy.

I'd rock that Green, trimmed with all the Soda accents. Not sure about paying extra for it though.

If you peruse what dealers order for "stock cars" especially higher end stuff, black is the color of choice 90% of the time. It's "safe." May not be everyone's first choice, but it is one they will take. More offbeat colors sit on dealer lots longer.
