R56 2012 Laguna Green and Highclass Gray
I haven't owned a black car yet, and see no reason to. It looks great when absolutely perfectly clean, but as soon as one speck of dust or dirt gets on it, it looks horrible. And it get quite hot in the sun.
Lighter colors for me, thanks!

I try to be nice about everybody's color choices. A huge part of the MINI spirit is to have the car the way you like it, even if the way you like it isn't for everyone.
Still, that Laguna Green looks like toothpaste, at least on the configurator and in the picture from the thread. I'm reserving judgment until I see it in person, though.
Highclass grey looks boring in some pictures and awesome in others, so I'm curious as to how it looks in real life.

No doubt! Other car makers have similar colors for free. Why do we have to pay $500 to $1,000 extra??? Just part of BMW/MINI crazy markup on options. I guess there's a sucker (like me) born every day.

Janie - Your Laguna Green with white roof and strips looks great!
Thanks. It's my second Mini. I traded in my 2008 last week. It was a stick shift and I got tired of driving it barefoot...lol...I wear heels a lot so I would have to take them off to drive. When I saw this one last week and was told it was an automatic, I was sold. I had the dealership add the white stripes on the hood. Now it reminds me of a Tiffany & Co box because of the color. I love it so much!
My wife had to lock in her order for a R57 in Laguna Green since our MA said it was being discontinued. That was on 19 Jan 12. I don't think you can order it anymore for FY 12. Rarity plus the fact she likes the color is the reason she went for it.
