Help find a specific bracket for 2011 MCS bumper mounted lights

I have my heart set on a pair of Hella 1000 driving lights with the blacked out lenses. I was all set to order the Outmotoring brackets that mount two lights directly centered on the bumper where a front license plate would go. I really want them there and like the aggressive look.

Outmotoring advised me they just learned the 2010 brackets will not fit the 2011 due to a bumper frame change.

I have looked at the VIP versions, but they go in the OEM location.

Does anyone know of a source for a mount like the one I want.

(I would post the link to the outmotoring URL, but im posting from my phone)

I have the Outmotoring kit on my 2011, fits fine. They said I wouldn't be able to mount 4 but I am almost positive you could.

Yep, those are the ones I have. I do not have any pics, but I mounted fairly close to the middle of the car, but I think I could mount two more next to those and still be inside of the brake ducts.

Thanks for the pics! THAT is the look I want. How long have your lights been on the car? I was curious because your mounting brackets look aged or just real dirty.

That is a good look. Why didnt you put the plug on the other side of the grill? Someone can just unplug, unbolt and walk away with your PIAA's.
I live in the Bx so Im constantly thinking of stuff being taken off my car lol.

The PIAAs are ancient, I think I've had them on 4 vehicles now . The brackets themselves are the quite nicely made. BTW, cutting the grill is required, measure 8 times, cut once.

Without cutting the plugs and then re-running them through the grill, or cutting up the grill more, I couldn't get the plugs through. The bigger piece is on the light side of the plug. The other half BARELY fit through the slots with some prying and swearing.

You can actually see the grill is deformed where the plugs run through the slots as it is, and that's the little part.

Is it possible to splice more length and then heatshrink it in black (or red!) so the plugs could go behind the grill?

Definitely possible, but I try to limit the number of potential points of failure. Plus this saved me from having to pull the bumper again to zip tie the cables behind it, the plugs are wedged in there well enough that they won't be falling out.

You are right, I should have said the PIAA lights looked dirty...LOL

Where did you mount your switch on the dash?

I am friends with my Mini SA and he said if I mount the lights and bring the car over they will wire up the harness and make the connections for a nominal charge. I am pretty sure I can run the power wires and install the switch since I have wrapped my dash in carbon fiber and leather. I know how to take the dash apart and fish a wire up to there. How did you know what color wire to tap into on the light circuit so that your driving lights come on with high beams and go off when you go to low beams??

Hi, I'm new here and I have the same "issue". Is there a specific fog light mounting bracket on the 2011 Mini Clubman S? thanks.

Would anyone just wire up a switch that wouldnt go on with the fogs or the highbeams? Just be able to turn em on at will even with the lights out.

It was really easy to wire, though I wired mine independent of everything (except the ignition must be in the 'On' position). I ran the lights' ground wire to the bolt nut and stud that hold the bumper to the body. Then a ran the relay/fuse ground to the shock mount, directly wired the relay/fuse to the battery. There is an AWESOME wire feed on the passenger side, next to the battery. Take off the plastic shield and there is a rubber cover with a wire bundle going through and two nipples that you can cut off to run wires to the passenger footwell. I have one nipple feeding to my Integral Audio amp and one to the switch for the lights.

The dumpout for the rubber grommet is near the fuse block, straight up. If you lay on your back you can see the wires popping through, no fishing needed. Once there, I fed 12V power off the auxillary 12V power outlets fuse, F44 for 2011. I then ran the switch to the coin area of the center stack. It's stuck with velcro next to my amp remote volume control.

I've got a 2011 base Cooper and can't find brackets that will fit. The options out there all fit the S but I'm stuck in limbo. Aaron at Outmotoring can't / won't put one together and VIP said they'll make one but no idea when. Iv'e got a pair of Hella 500FF that I was hoping to put on at the bumper but I'll use the grille if II have to. Aaron said the OEM brackets from MINI might work but would need "tweaking"...I'm no mechanic and don't know if anyone around here will "tweak" for me. I'm at my wits end...any suggestions? Thanks in advance for all your help!!

As you can see I like Yellow Fogs.

I will probably move these fogs down to the bumper level, or maybe cover the brake ducts (not so sure those ducts work unless you track the car, and even then it's iffy).

These are Hella 500's, Black Magic's and Fogs w/Hella Yellow Shieldz.

The fogs are on a completely separate independent circuit and will come on without any other lamps on and the black magics are on the factory DL circuit and need high beams to work.
