I just got in an intercooler for my CM and noticed that the top mounting bracket is welded on at roughly a 45 degree angle forward. Is this correct? I was under the impression that it would be at a 90 degree angle, but maybe the angle is meant to hang on the under lip of the crossbar in front of the radiator. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to take off the bumper just to see if it'll fit.

Yes it should be at 90 deg. But you don't need it so you can just cut it off.
