First, you have to find your stall speed. To do this go to an empty parking lot. Then, to put as much brake force down as possible put your car in neutral and push on your brake as far as it will go down with your left foot. Next, while still holding the brake down with your left foot, put the car in drive and slowly start to give it some gas with your right foot. Keep slowly revving it until you start feeling the car lurch forward. Take note of what RPM your car starts to lurch forward. This is called your stall speed and it's the RPM where you should launch your car. My stall speed is right around 2,000 RPM.

To launch your car, put your left foot on your brake and rev your car up to your stall speed or RPM that you found. Finally, simultaneously let go of the brake with your left foot while slamming the gas petal with your right foot. Remember to take your traction control off or it will ruin all the fun.

If you need to burn out at the drag strip, pull your hand brake and floor the gas petal for a couple seconds. The hand brake is the only way I know how to spin my tires in a FWD car.

I have done about 8 drag strip passes with my auto Mini and this is the method that I used and has seemed to work for me. Let me know if you have any questions

You really need to buy a different car. While you can do it. it's like taking a $1000 hooker to the prom. There really are much better uses for her.

If you continue to drag race the Mini, you will start breaking very expensive parts... And it's not fast at all...

I know...Why do these people ask for problems in their cars...They're just not made for it,and then they ask why their cars "break", DUH!

I understand that you are saying the Mini is made more for handling and not drag racing, but that does not mean the $1000 hooker is not fun to take to the prom

I would just not make it a habit to drag race the Mini, because it does put strain on parts causing them to fail or break faster. The manumatic automatic transmissions can take a little more beating than a manual because the torque converter absorbs most of the drive line shock during launch.

I always say put it in neutral the peg it of the rev limitor and then throw it in drive. That is the way to do it. No I am really just kidding don't do that. Put there are better cars to run the 1/4 in.
