removal of interior panel

Have 07 Mini-S - need to remove left rear interior panel in order to bump out small exterior dent. Does seat have to come out? (I noted someone else asked this same question some time back but didn't find reply.)

You need to start remove the interior trim pieces at center of the tailgate section and work your way forward. Not sure if the seat has to come out, but you will probably be able to tell once you get closer.
