Temp Gauge Install Questions

Hello,
I bought the cravenspeed temp gauge and i'm trying to install. their directions arent very clear on a couple things. I got the adapter and sensor installed. Out of the sensor are white and black thick wires with brass push ends. There is no included wires that plug into these and run to the gauge. Does anyone know how I'm supposed to hook these wires up and where?

Also, how r u guys running the wires up the steering column so they are out of sight? Thanks.

I am in the same boat. I tried to install a boost and temp gauge I got from craven speed, but ran into a wall trying to tap the wires where they are supposed to go. The wires plug into the back of the gauge, but they are waaayy to short to tap into the cigarette lighter and dsc button.

I tried calling them on Friday, but I missed them by a minutes and they were closed. I will call on Monday and try to get everything straightened out and see if I need anything additional to finish the install.

I hope someone on NAM has some info because I am completely lost right now.

I installed both the Oil PSI and the Water Temp gauges from Craven. The wiring harness is useless so you have to run separate wires to all the connections. The water has to be grounded (I used the motor mount bolt)and I just bought button connectors to plug in.. Use the gauge direction for hooking them up. The water temp black goes to ground, white to back of gauge. I have talked to them and have planned to send in pic to help with install. Hope this helps.

Thanks...actually I just finished also...I would have thought the black was ground and white ran to the "green" wire on the gauge...got it all hooked up and nothing...so i read the gauge directions a little closer and it said the male connector goes to the signal (green) wire. After taking everything apart I noticed the male connector was the black wire. SO I switched...black to the green gauge wire and white grounded...now it works just fine.

I ran my wires under the tach then through the steering column,,that was a pain, but looks much better. I also had an issue where the studs for the temp gauge would hit the vent if the gauge sat straight like it should..then it was too low that the wiper control handle would hit it, so I had to turn the gauge a little ****-eyed. I guess I could have just cut the studs off and used the pads they provided, but I didnt feel like taking everything apart again.

I think my problem was that I was missing the wiring harness, so cravenspeed should be sending one for both gauges. If you guys have any pictures of how you tapped your gauges I would greatly appreciate it

OK, lets see if I can figure this out..first pix should be the installed front...next shows how close the gauge is to the vent, next is just the wiring going under the tach, then the temp sensor. Hope they turn out it was dark in the garage, i just took them.

Looks good. This is my VEI hi hes digital boost gauge on a Craven Speed W mount. You can see the wires and the hose going back to the boost tap in the engine bay. Well at least I can see it a bit when I drive the car .
