Didn't realize Coopers were for Apple fanboys... I guess I could sell my JCW and get an Audi TT, apparently us Android Fans are welcome there.

Hehehe... Very old (pronounced tired) debate of "whose better." Time will tell. I like tech, and perhaps you guys ought to see the MINI owner as the person who likes tech, and yes Apple takes a huge market lead in certain tech sectors.

Purchased an iPhone 3G when Apple was still the only real competitor in the space. Learned to dislike the closed approach Apple had towards their products with this purchase and have no desire to continue paying for closed products.

I do development and systems administration work for a living and mostly work with open source products (Linux anyone???) in my role (the Windows admin guys are in another group altogether). Try using an Apple product on Linux and you get even more points if your main system doesn't have Windows or OS X installed. Really makes an iPhone frustrating.

Long story short...iPhone is too closed and rigidly focused on Apple's view of the market and Windows Mobile Phones are too little too late while Android is open so at least I can fix what I don't like.

So do most owners have an iPhone (currently)? No idea...but I would hardly say MINI and Apple products are in the same design league. Look at the single button iPhone style versus the 1000 buttons in the inside of your MINI! Of course I'm not someone to complain about buttons, switches, etc that have functional use. I can learn after all.

I would die if my home/school computers weren't iMacs. (graphic design student) The only time my newish iMac slows down is when I open anything from the Microsoft Office Suite. I can run Photoshop, Illustrator, and iMovie at the same time with no lag but if I open Powerpoint alone it takes forever to load.

So, I have my iMac, Macbook, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and iPod Classic. But I refuse to get an iPhone. Love my Android for mobile. Call me the exception.

Opensource all the way! Can't stand Apple, although I havent been impressed with microsoft much lately either. I run Ubuntu on my laptop and desktop and love it. I do have an old PC around for the occational program I can't run in virtualbox or wine. Had an original ipod for less than a day before it went back to the store.

I now have a droid, rooted and rom'd, of course! Google FTW! It's amazing how linux (android & ubuntu) can work together in harmony.

5 various iPods, iPad 2 , Macbook Pro and a Mac Mini for my media center. No smartphone yet (the iPad has 3G) I get enough Windows experience at work to appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of both platforms and I use what the job requires.

When I purchased my MINI this past December we discussed with the dealership at length how MINI has purposely modeled their sales experience after the Apple Store. I personally own many many Apple products. I have had Windows and Linux PCs in the past (still run both OS's on bootcamp with Mac hardware), But I love my Macs!

Looks like we're all different people (weird) On my second MINI....and have two Macs. G5 iMac and currently a macbook air. The one thing I can say about Apple products is they LAST. My G5 (about 6 years old) still runs like a champ and really isn't too slow. A 6 year old pc would more often than not be very boggy (I feel that the majority of owners don't defrag or take care of pc's)

Android as far as phone goes though. I think HTC makes the best phones and Android is the best OS at the moment. Droid Incredible for me....however I don't like the way all the new droids are HUGE. I can't even fit them in my pocket it seems...

I played around with linux for a while a few years back and it was cool. I don't think I could deal with it day in and day out though. Fun for playing around on and learning code.

Mac user here too (since a Mac Plus with two 500K drives was the top of the line), but I'm still disappointed that the MINI Configuator is so crippled when using an iPad. Perhaps the Adobe Flash issue, I'm not sure.
