Sport button on manual

Does the sport button do anything for manual cars or is it only the auto? Leaving in one hour to pick one up.

It will change the throttle and steering maps.

Oh yea, the throttle response is quite noticeable, and is the steering change. If your getting a new 2011, it'll also add in the pop and burble.

Going to assume that was 2011

Congrats! And the sports button will be your friend no matter which transmission you choose.

We expect pictures! Details!

I just tried out my sport button for the first time on my MCS manual. The throttle response is incredible. I barely had to touch the pedal to take off in first.

Congrats on Your New Mini, She is a Beaut!

The first thing I do after starting my Mini is hit the Sport Button! I find the Mini Sluggish and Laggy when it is not depressed.

Ditto the sport button. As with the seat belts, my car doesn't move until Sport Mode is active!

BTW, your car looks superb. Sigh... If I'd waited a year, I could have had pop and burble too.

Do yourself a favor and just pony up an buy the Auto Sport module.

Non sport mode is a joke. The car feels like a complete turd trying to just drive off from a stop. It's like, HOW MUCH THROTTLE DO I HAVE TO GIVE IT SO IT WON'T STALL?

AutoSport, never have to think about it again.

I found that my milage did not change at all when the sport button is on or off. I would think milage would be worse since I would be pushing the gas pedal harder and more often with it off.

And for those that want pop and burble, get an aftermarket cat back exhaust system. My favorite mod I have done to my Mini. 8-)

On a manual, the sport button in and of itself does not do anything that will change the gas mileage.

I did install the auto sport button mod on mine. I think it was the first mod I did.
