Top speed of an 07S?

Just wondering what is the highest speed you have ever gone in your "S" manual? I hit 115 today and it wanted to go sooo much faster.

One of the many computers on board will limit it to 126 mph....... In case common sense doesn't...

Watch out, I posted today about going 105 mph in my Mini and my post was EDITED to say "highway speed" instead of "105 mph"! This kinda crap makes my blood boil, friggin PC police it's absolute BS. Oh we can't talk about speeding on the highway....

The point of not permitting speeding discussions is liability. Some A-hole lawyer will blame the web for injuries and the owner of the site is in the middle.

Once again, it is the lawyers.

Now, when I was out at the old airport (12000 runway) during crazy car weekend, I hit about 125 without issues and didn't notice any limiter, but that was fast enough for me.

Yeah, that's the ticket "I was on the way to golf on a Sunday morning and took a shortcut through the airport, I hit 105 mph (on the runway of course) with a coffee in one hand and was amazed at how stable the Mini was!"

My original post was pulled I guess because I was critical of the editing job,

My mini SA advises not exceeding 115mph as it will start to drift slightly on a straight away. I hit 110 with no trouble with plenty of pedal left---'09 MCS

There once was a time the folks here knew how to discuss speed without discussing violations of the law those that forgot have received infractions, and killed this thread.

LEGAL
