Not really. I was attempting to describe what having a well operating auto-lock would be like, and that it would involve a much more complicated set of conditions than simply exiting the vehicle. For my one example, I guess the vehicle would need to sense if it was parked inside (don't auto-lock) or outside (auto-lock).

Thread Revival Alert:

Same issue as the OP, the fix was to toggle on and off the auto lock feature for each key fob and all was restored.

No reason why it stopped functioning but the above was the fix.

I have a 2009 cooper r56 door locks.

I'm referring to option #3 which is what I have set them to.
