I think those are for the mini fini attachments. IE tow hitch, tire carrier etc.

 

right on yall.... i thought it might be sum sort of parking sensors....from this pic i cant see the usual PDC sensors.... but when i ran the vin at the dealership for the options.... its says it has rear parking sensors.... any clue on that ???

 

parking distance control (PDC) sensors. On my 2010 with PDC they are mounted lower on the bumper but in the same general position measured side to side relative to the center exhaust.
