Iphone Gauge dock?

I can't remember where i found this at but it was a German site i believe. It was basically a pod/gauge that went beside your center tach and looked stock. The Iphone slid in from the side and hooked up with a charger that was inside. The screen faced you so you can use it as a nav or whatever. It was very good looking and i was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

No, it was something that i've never seen. It was a round gauge to the right of the center tach above the steering wheel. It looked like one of the JCW gauges but a tad bit bigger so that you could slide an Iphone into it and it look still like a round gauge. It was REALLY good looking.

Good luck then. The Cravenspeed on is nice and cheap in price. The one your talking about sounds expensive./

What they've shown is a prototype. It is a very clever idea but may be hard to bring it out at an affordable price. They put the iPhone in a modified factory tach housing, and remounted the original tach to the left to make the two balanced over the steering column. It looks like factory because they are using a factory part. One problem is a source for the tach housing. They can't buy it from MINI (only available with the complete tach), so they either need to manufacture it themselves (unlikely given the cost and number they can sell) or a reliable supply from salvage yards/eBay.

Oh well. It's still a good looking dock.

I was in their website: attractive4mini.com They don't have the cradle advertised but they have some good looking Union Jack rear fog LEDs and some sort of modified bi-xenons that has an option of lighting up the outside ring instead of the beam itself. A lot of $$$ but its nice to have out here in the U.S. if you can afford it. I may have to go the route instead of the Joey mod once I get some extra $$$
