Can you post a pic or two of the interior with the SO showing? I've always wondered how the toffee leather looked with the SO. I was going to order that but chickened out and went with the black lounge leather instead. If I like the toffee (which I suspect I will) I'm going to kick myself! By the way, I checked the new car inventory in So Cal a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to see a SO MC before I ordered it and I found there were only TWO in inventory in all of the nine dealers in SoCal! (both Justas) I went and looked at the one at Mini of Monrovia and loved the color! There's going to be another one in a few days at Ontario Mini - the one I ordered in September but am not taking delivery on. It arrived at Port Hueneme on Tuesday.

Nice! That's what I ordered on my SO too, but I have the MCS hardtop. They are the only Mini wheels that I like, other than the R90s.

I'm only a matter of days away from being an "official" member of the SO Owner's Club. My MCS is off the boat and will be ready for pick up this week. As Jerry Garcia said. "What a long strange trip it's been" since my decision to get a MINI. I'm glad the waiting part is just about over!

Nice! I bet it'd look really cool with black instead of chrome on the grille and headlights.

I already have the black JCW grill trim waiting in my garage and I'm having the headlight and tail light trim wrapped black when I have the stripes done. I'm going to leave a little chrome (scuttles and beltline) to tie in the silve trim on the black star bullets.

Picked up Habanero on Tuesday. Here are some "before" pics. These are just as it arrived at the dealer. Window tint today, stripes tomorrow and then some more pics. I'm lovin' this car!

Interiors

Greetings fellow Spicy Motorers! I'm curious about what color combos you have in your spice orange babies. We just got ours and have the hot chocolate color line with the stock black leatherette seats. I really like it but it seemed like there wasn't a lot of other color options that would look good, with the possible exception of white seats (not a good option with my kids ).

What do y'all have?

I notice us SO owners don't have club numbers. I'm fine with it either way but just wondering why?

Nah, that's crazy talk.

Still, us SO fans could be a unique bunch.

You're right about the SO being somewhat limiting with colors (interior, striping, etc.) but I figure any Tom, ****, Harry, or Suzy can accessorize a black or white car, but it takes some creativity to mess with a Spice Orange! I think you've seen them, but I have interior and striping pics up in my gallery. I'd like to see yours because hot chocolate was actually my first choice, but I couldn't really envision it and I wasn't as brave as you and just go for it.

You're right, but I like that. I have yet to see a SO anything "in the wild" (other than mine). Makes it kinda cool, IMO.

As you can see we just did the hot chocolate color line for the dash and door handles. we were going to also do the brake handle, shifter, and steering wheel but it all got too expensive. other than the wheel (where they have to repack the airbag), we can add the others later if we want. It's subtle, but we like it. I think it's classy.

My interior is piano black with black everything (anthrocite headliner, leatherette, etc.) and the chrome interior accents. For an add-on accent color, I'll probably to 'anodized purple' aka: jdm purple.

If I get a manual boost control, it'll be the Hallman in purple:

I like the look of orange with a very few select accent pieces in purple (maybe when I paint the calipers black, I'll put a purple "MINI" decal on them.)

Nothing too "OMG, LOOK AT ME!" I like a clean ride.

Plus, it'll add to the Halloween fun of my "Nightmare Before Christmas's Jack Skellington" -named car. lol

I like the Hot Chocolate a lot and it is classy. Sorry I didn't do it now, but I do like the black with the polar beige door panels. I think if I had to do it over again, I might not have opted for the piano black door and dash trim. It gets dusty and it's hard to keep clean. Kind of like a piano! LOL

I should get it this week. I'm hoping my MA calls me today to tell me my car has been delivered and she gives me a pick up date.

I've been following your saga on here since before you ordered it. You're at the final step and while you're experiencing high anxiety right now, all the tension of the past couple of months will disappear as soon as you drive off the dealer's lot and it will seem like all that frustration never happened. You're gonna love the Spice Orange! It's a great color and I get comments on it all the time from MINI folks and non-MINI folks alike.
