R56 E-Brake turns or drifting...
E-Brake turns or drifting...
I picked up a 2010 Dark Silver "S". I had an 06 S and occasionally on slippery days would maybe pull my ebrake lever on a turn. Are there any side effects in doing this? Will it damage the suspension?
I pull my brake just about every chance I get, I have a lot of fun with it. Yea, eventually you must adjust your ebrake and possibly replace the shoes, but its a lot of fun and tbh it gives you really fun low speed control.
Then again, I also go through a set of tires every 8,000 miles lol

Not sure what you mean by drift but you can certainly oversteer with FWD, just not power oversteer.
Although its not as simple as a RWD car, or even a high powered AWD car...you can certainly get a FWD into a decent drift...not something I'd recommend on the street though.
Big open parking lot though =
. Of course it helps if its wetHelps if you have an LSD too

Drifting is the are of cause the car to oversteer and maintaining it. Seeing that a FWD pulls you through a turn you can not maintain it(a drift). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_%28motorsport%29
Also drifting was mentioned in the title of this thread for those wondering.

I find using the handbrake handy for certain u-turns.

I find the HB warning buzzer a bit annoying on Trigger.
