Maybe Check to make sure that they are all tightly in place.

 

I have the same problem light is on and i cannot find which one is out. I recently replaced the license plate light bulb. anyone know anything about this?

[hi - I have a 2011 and also did not find it in my manual. Drives me crazy since we just had the vehicle looked at and serviced. Nice to know it's a cheap fix since everything else cost an arm and a leg in the Mini (BMW).

Any other ideas about bulb problems? I’m getting both a “right side marker light” and a ‘left tail light” error message.

I’ve replaced all exterior bulbs (not with LED), used bulb grease, and contact cleaner. The bulbs are new, the bulb holders look clean, but these last two bulbs are a problem. I’m not even sure which bulb is the right side marker light (in front of the passenger door?) and which one is the left tail light, (there is a brake light, a turn signal and I’m guessing the running light).
