R56 MPG for YOUR MINI!!! mine seems really low =(
My 09 MCS with alta CAI, 3" exhause from the DP back will average 40-44 MPG with the cruise control set at 63 mph. Keeping it around 75-80 it is around 30-34mpg. With it running hard on the autobahn average of 140mph and up I see around 9 mpg.
Here is an image of my current mpg. I'm driving mostly for mpg on this tank but I still have run it up through the gears W.O.T. 2 or three times. From the inaccurate computer, it shows I'm going to get about 617 mph this tank.

Can you tell me how you brought up that info. on the Radio Display?/!!
RJK, I'm pretty sure that '07 and up MINIs have this same comuter. Just press the menu button next to the button which has audio on the other side of it. Then turn that button left or right to tab on computer. Pust the button and there you have it.
When I bought mine it was at 30. Then I installed a CAI and Riss Racing exhaust and it went down to 23. Then I reinstalled stock exhaust (RR too loud) and it stayed at 23. Then I installed a scorpion exhaust, disconnected the battery and now it shows 30 again.

Man, i thought we should be getting better than that but seeing some of these numbers makes me glad to get 34

Nope.. It is about 10 miles from home to work on country highway (50mph) then about 2 miles through town (9 stoplights and always hit every one) then about 15 miles from work to school, same stoplights, then about 6 miles to the house.. that is with the wife driving and she is harder on it than i am..
Granted there arent any hills.. Mostly flatland here in central Indiana

I have about 900 miles on my '10 MCS and my recent avg MPG (based on tripometer math) is 25. My daily commute is a 50/50 split of highway / street. I usually have the A/C compressor turned on and I have a fairly heavy foot but have been keeping it under 4500 RPMs during break-in. I'm thinking my avg should go up a bit after time...I'd love to see ~40 MPG at some point.

after 3 days of ownership and commuting, my 08 MCS 6spd shows 42mpg (on board)...my commute average speed is 52mph...no freeways...just a few stop lights...27 miles each way.
I just filled up for the first time so I'll get a more accurate hand calc method in a couple of weeks.

I just filled my 2010 Justauto for the third time and my computer was indicating I had gotten 33.5 MPG so it seems to be about 2mpg optimistic. I have two Acuras and their milage estimates are spot on so, how hard can it be to make one that calculates correctly?. My calculation based on the fill-up was 31.5 which is still not bad considerering I have less than 1,000 miles and the EPA sticker says 28 combined!
Question: Is anyone running 87 octane? The manual says you can but, was wondering how it effected the milage. I may try a tank in the future as premium is almost $3 here in Nashville.

I just finished my first tank of summer blended fuel and got 41.5mpg, (all highway driving, 60-70mph, ac-off). I'm having a JCW tuning kit installed on Monday at NW Mini in Tacoma, Wa. I hope I don't take too big a dip in MPG's.
That's close to what I'm getting. I could drive for better mpg if I really wanted to but that would give MINI a bad rep. Also, I wish I was getting a JCW tuning kit. I'm sure that you will only get worse mpg if you get on it because the engine becomes more efficient.
I average 29MPG city everytime I fill up I check. I used to get 33mpg city driving until I start modding. Highway depends, last time I took a trip on highway driving I averaged about 37.

Rarely use the AC (providing weather permits).
