Some Infos at first(i got them from a german Forum):

Engines become cleaner and get more power with
Valvetronic.

The 1.4 Litre MINI ONE get's the 1.6 Litre Engine and 3HP more<<<98HP

The 75HP version will be available in EU as 1.6 Litre Engine too.

And the ONE Cabrio will be available soon too


1.6 Cooper gets 2HP more... <<< 122HP

1.6 Turbo on Cooper S gets the biggest boost with 9HP more!!! <<<184HP !!!



The JCW don't get a technical modification I*m glad about that.. cause my new R55 JCW will come in a week to me home

Wouldn't that be a R56 JCW? A 55 is Justacooper

 

Your topic might mislead -- IIRC this is for model year 2011 vehicles. Production starting mid-year.

 

R55 is a Clubman, One, D, Clubman S or JCW. Same with the R56 S, JCW or non-S.

According to Motoring File, the new engines are going to start into March builds - meaning they will arrive BEFORE the 2011 refresh. Strange. Those of us who bought early '10 models might not be happy to hear this. I knew there was a semi-major refresh coming in a year, but chose to purchase now for a number of reasons, not the least of which was that by now, the R56 was a "mature" car, in its 4th model year, which is a lot of time to work out kinks along the way. But if this new motor has been hit harder by the BMW stick, and eliminates the timing chain issues of the current mill, and possibly the carbon buildup problems as well, then I'm going to be disappointed that I didn't wait, at least till later in the '10 model year. The slight added power and 10% additional fuel economy wouldn't have hurt either.
